0

This weekend, 100,000 people are set to descend onto Hackney Marshes in north London as Europe’s biggest free-ticketed music festival takes place. After Jay-Z headlines on Saturday, the Hackney Weekend Sunday line-up has a lot to live up to, although looking at the big names set to perform, it’s sure not to disappoint.

Headlining Sunday is one of the world’s biggest selling artists, Rihanna, along with Florence + the Machine, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Plan B and Professor Green. A special guest who will be the penultimate act on the Main Stage before Rihanna is yet to be revealed, but rumours suggest it may be one of several big names including Usher, Coldplay, Cheryl Cole, Kanye West or Adele.

Apart from the main stage, there will be a star-studded line up across the other 5 stages at the festival. Chase & Status will be headlining the In New Music We Trust stage with Lana Del Rey, Santigold, Enter Shikari and Bombay Bicycle Club amongst others. The 1Xtra stage will showcase the best urban music as Nas, Wretch 32, Taio Cruz, Azealia Banks, and Labrinth, all take to the stage.

The BBC Introducing stage will feature a range of new artists which Radio 1 and 1Xtra predict will be big in the next year, whilst the Dance Arena sees some of the biggest names in the genre perform, as David Guetta will headline, and Flux Pavillion, Madeon, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Andy C will also all appear.

Completing the festival is the Outdoor DJ Stage which may be a wash out if the weather forecast is anything to go by, but which will feature huge names such as DJ Edu, Toddla T, B Traits, Skream & Benga and Mistajam.
