Preview: Kerrang! Tour at the Guildhall (7/2/12)

On February 7th, the 2012 Kerrang! Tour storms into the Guildhall. The tour is now running on a slightly reduced lineup with the announcement of the removal of Sum 41 due to a back injury suffered by frontman Deryck Whibley. Regardless, this gig promises to be special, with New Found Glory, The Blackout, Letlive and While She Sleeps still on the bill.

New Found Glory arrive in Southampton just after the 12th anniversary of their first album, and a matter of months after the release of their seventh album Radiosurgery, a concept album based on the end of a relationship. Releasing this album into such an overflowing genre, with other albums such as the recent work of veterans Blink-182, could be seen as a risky move. Yet with the excellent response this album has received from the critics, there is little doubt that the record will provide an excellent backdrop for the tour.

With the excellent onstage performance for which New Found Glory are known, as well as the brilliant sounds of support bands such as The Blackout, there is little doubt that this will be an unmissable gig. Which, somehow, still has tickets for sale.
