Example – Southampton Guildhall Preview

0

A purveyor of “dysfunctional electro-pop” and a lover of Nando’s, Example’s 2011 tour has taken him all over the country and he will be finishing here on the South Coast, with gigs at the Guildhall, and then the Brighton Dome. Example is currently at the peak of his powers, having had a very successful year in 2010, which saw his second album, Won’t Go Quietly, reach the giddy heights of number four in the album charts and two of his singles make the UK top ten.

Example is a very engaging performer, with the ability to make the crowd laugh as well as jump into and onto each other. Expect huge reactions when he wheels out the big guns; recent singles ‘Kickstarts’ and ‘Watch The Sun Come Up’ are likely to create havoc. It will be interesting to see how the new, electro-tinged material can be integrated with his earlier, more hip-hop led oeuvre.

Example is a joy to behold live, and this performance is guaranteed to be an excellent night out. This one could get rowdy, so remember not to bring your gran.

Catch Example at the Southampton Guildhall on 16th March, and get tickets from www.livenation.co.uk/southampton, or from the box office, 02380 632601
