Whilst embarking on their The Secret Service headline UK tour towards the tail-end of 2015, pop group The Hoosiers stopped by the University of Southampton to perform an acoustic set for The Edge Sessions.
Everyone’s favourite band from 2007 treated us to an acoustic rendition of their top five debut single ‘Worried About Ray’, as well as ‘Up To No Good’ from their fourth studio album, The Secret Service, which was released back in October. The three-piece from Bracknell were also kind enough to stick around for an interview.
‘Worried About Ray’ was The Hoosiers debut single, released back in June of 2007. The track was taken from their highly successful debut album, The Trick to Life, which was released in the October of the same year and also featured hit tracks such as ‘Goodbye Mr A’ and ‘Cops And Robbers’. ‘…Ray’ entered the UK singles chart at number 16 just on downloads in its first week, before rising to six the following week when CD sales began, and then peaking at number five in its third week in the chart.
The second track the group played to us was the third song off of their fourth studio album The Secret Service, entitled ‘Up To No Good’. After performing the tracks, the trio were more than happy to answer a few questions, where they talked about their experiences of The Secret Service tour, what to expect at their Southampton show, as well as their inspirations.
