This week’s round-up consists of a varietal collection, ranging from folk to rock to pop. Amongst this arrives the highly-anticipated release of Ariana Grande’s second album, My Everything. The album’s lead single, Problem, which features Iggy Azalea, topped the UK charts upon its release; could the album do the same? Royal Blood and Maroon 5 also feature.

Royal Blood – Royal Blood

meta-image-2Brighton-based rock duo, Royal Blood, will be releasing their first LP this week. To date, the duo have released four singles from their upcoming self-titled début record. Although their singles did not chart very well, the duo have made an impressive live image of themselves having supported Arctic Monkeys’ during their Finsbury Park shows earlier this year; an apt match as the duo’s sound resembles a blues-rock feel similar to the Alex Turner fronted band. Royal Blood also performed at Glastonbury Festival, T in the Park and more recently, Reading Festival, amongst others. Their début album, Royal Blood, is due for release 25th August.

Dry The River – Alarms in the Heart
