Lady Gaga rumoured to release ‘Gypsy’ as a single

Rumours circulating the internet today suggest that Lady Gaga will release ‘Gypsy’ as her next single.

The track is likely to be the third single from Gaga’s ARTPOP, which reached number one in the US and UK. The pop icon’s record label, Interscope, released ‘Gypsy’ on their SoundCloud along with other tracks that are being sent to US radio.

‘Gypsy’ is set to follow lead single ‘Applause’ and ‘Do What U Want’ which featured collaborations from R. Kelly and Christina Aguilera through the release of two different versions. Fans were left disappointed with no video for ‘Do What U Want’ being uploaded, despite the many months since its single release. This was justified by Lady Gaga because of a ‘betrayal’, and the second single seems to have been abandoned.

Rumours are circulating, including some fans saying ‘Gypsy’ could be the answer to the elongated wait for the sequel of the ‘Telephone’ video, which featured Beyoncé. With the singer confirming that a new video will be shot very soon in New York City, the rumours could prove true.

Before Interscope’s Soundcloud activity, however, it was rumoured that ‘Venus’ would be the third single from ARTPOP, with Lady Gaga changing her Twitter username to ‘Goddess of Love,’ which are lyrics featured in the song that centres around the Greek goddess.
