Introducing: The Magic Gang

0

The Magic Gang have bounced into the spotlight recently with their happy go lucky slacker rock sound. Originally from the New Forest, the weezer-esque geeky power pop foursome have reminded the south coast how fun British indie can be.

Their latest single ‘No Fun‘ marries a ramshackle scuzzy baseline with a hooky melody that leaves you craving a hazy summer afternoon and a pint of cider. Not only do the band offer a well polished EP, their stage presence is phenomenal. When playing live, the bands love for their music is obvious, and the crowd feeds off their enthusiasm. Every track they play leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy inside.

The group have recently toured with Wolf Alice and had great responses, including frequent tip offs from NME. But their recent success hasn’t gone to their heads, and they upkeep a down to earth attitude which only makes their music all the more enjoyable.

The Edge will definitely be keeping their eye on them this year!

Tickets to their live shows (and a show at Lennons in June!) can be bought here.
