Introducing: Team Me

Who are Team Me? Team Me are your new favourite Norwegian pop band and if you didn’t have one before, well now you do.

Originally started as a solo-side project (hence the name) for lead member Marius Hagen back in 2010, the band quickly formed after one of Marius’ tracks made it to the finals of a Norwegian national radio contest for new and unsigned bands. Not daring to perform live by himself, Marius quickly got gathered some friends together and in January 2010 Team Me made their live debut at the finals.

The rest, as they say, is history and now over two years later the young Norwegian six-piece are finally set for the UK release of their debut album To The Treetops! (it was released in Norway late last year where they’re calling it one of the best ever debut albums by a Norwegian band).

Having supported The Wombats on their recent UK tour lazy comparisons between the two can easily be made, but Team Me are so much more. The band make infectious and energetic pop music that is captured perfectly in the magic of their live shows. Make no mistakes about it; To The Treetops! is a huge sounding pop album, uplifting and full of rich orchestral glee that is guaranteed to lift you.

Having already made a name for themselves back in their native Norway– last year they picked up the Norwegian Grammy for Best Pop Group – expect big things from Team Me this year as they look to soar to the treetops and beyond. Think less Team Me and more Team Awesome!
