It’s been announced that Lindsay Lohan is to make her West End debut in Speed-the-Plow. The revival of David Mamet’s play will run at the Playhouse Theatre from September the 24th to November the 29th.
The play is a satirical examination of the American film business. It tells the story of two Hollywood executives who’s life is disrupted by their new secretary, Karen.
Lohan has been cast as Karen, a role originated by Madonna in the 1988 Broadway production of the play, and more recently has been portrayed by Alicia Silverstone and Elisabeth Moss.
It’s due to be directed by Lindsay Posner, whose previously directed other Mamet plays such as Romance, A Life in the Theatre and Oleanna.
There is no further word of other casting as of yet.
