One of the most anticipated award ceremonies of the year is to premiere in the UK on 27th January, a day after when the show takes place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

The UK premier will be shown on 4music, who will repeat the awards on 30th January and 2nd February.

Many rumours have surrounded this year’s Grammys with regards to who is and who isn’t performing. However, acts that have been officially secured as performers on the celebratory night include Daft Punk, Lorde, Pink, Taylor Swift, John Legend and Katy Perry.

The performers are to take the stage alongside Beyoncé and Jay Z who were confirmed as performers only a few days ago. The married couple are to perform together during the first hour of the ceremony.

The nominees for one of the most anticipated categories of the evening – Record of the Year – include Imagine Dragons’ ‘Radioactive’ and Bruno Mars’ ‘Locked Out of Heaven’. Despite this, the track most favourable to win is the controversial and contentious ‘Blurred Lines’.

Newcomer, Lorde, is also a clear contender to many of the most eagerly-awaited categories, with her hit single ‘Royals’ up for three Grammys, along with her album, Pure Heroine, being nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.
