A very happy new year to all! If you’re looking for a way to clear up those January blues, here’s what to expect from Southampton theatres in the upcoming week.

The Mayflower

The big feature at the Mayflower this week is Robin Cousins’ ICE, running from January 16th to January 19th.

The creation of Dancing on Ice head judge Robin Cousins, and an all star West End creative team, ICE promises ‘a spectacular show the like of which UK theatres have not seen in 30 years.’

Students can acquire tickets for £17.50 on opening night only, and then £5 off on all other performances. Student ID’s must be shown on entry.

The Nuffield

Coming up this week is the first production of 2014 for the Nuffield Youth Theatre, Evening Standard award winning writer Philip Ridley’s Feathers in the Snow.

Brought to us by the same director who brought us Great Expectations, the show is billed as ‘a Brechtian sugar rush of storytelling.’
