For nearly 25 years, David Suchet has appeared on our screens as Agatha Christie’s much-loved Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot. Now, Poirot is to leave our screens for good as ITV and actor David Suchet complete their mammoth task in bringing the entire Poirot short stories and novels to TV.

To get viewers ready for the end, ITV have released a new 60 second trailer. The video serves as a celebration of the series, looking at how times have changed and the character of Poirot has developed, concluding with the words ‘The End is Near’.

The next film, The Big Four, which is co-written by actor and Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss, will air on 23 October on ITV HD and ITV.
