Following its premiere on Radio 1 in August, ‘Every Other Freckle’ – the third single from upcoming album This Is All Yours – now has two music videos to accompany it.
Within the space of thirty minutes, the band posted ‘EVERY OTHER FRECKLE (BOY)’ and ‘EVERY OTHER FRECKLE (GIRL)’ on their Facebook page.
The videos bare resemblance to the track’s lyrics, which are sometimes difficult to decipher. However the lyric ‘I want to bed into you like a cat beds into a beanbag’ is given very literal visuals. Crisps packets are also seen in a shot referencing the overtly sexual lyric which follows; ‘turn you inside out and lick you like a crisp packet’.
Both videos contain similar footage, however the former focuses on a male character while the latter focuses on a woman, presenting the fact that the openly sexual lyrics can be from the perspective of both sexes.
This Is All Yours will be Alt-J’s second album, following debut record, An Awesome Wave. It is due for release 22nd September.
