Foxes – ‘Let Go For Tonight’

Southampton’s own Foxes has released her follow up to the beautiful ‘Youth’, ‘Let Go For Tonight’. If you don’t know who Foxes is, you soon will. Having collaborated with the likes of Zedd (on ‘Clarity’), Rudimental (‘Right Now’) and Fall Out Boy (‘Just One Yesterday’), she’s made the rounds as a guest vocalist, and now she’s proving why all these huge names like her so much.

Opening with a catchy piano riff with accompanying handclaps, Foxes’ rich vocals lift the simple production. The track builds in production and energy until it hits its stride when it launches into the huge, anthemic chorus. From then on the track surges forward with gorgeous synth lines, theatrical string lines and driving drum beats.

The simple video, which features Foxes at a tea party with friends that turns into a huge food/paint fight, is just as vibrant and bright as the track; but it’s not so chaotic that it takes away from song.

‘Let Go For Tonight’ is out February 23rd, and Foxes debut album Glorious will be released 3rd March.
