Delilah – ‘Inside My Love’

0

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Paloma Stoecker, aka Delilah, it’s about time you sat up and started to pay attention to her. She broke through by featuring on the track ‘Time’ with Chase and Status and is following this up by playing at multiple festivals this summer and holding her own as a competent, up and coming, female solo artist. Her style and amazing vocal ability are brilliantly fresh compared to the many manufactured female solo artists we see in the charts today.

Her latest single ‘Inside My Love’ is a take on the original RnB track by Minnie Riperton back in 1975, and Deliah’s effort has a distinctly different character. She has added an extra tone of sexiness and updated it for the contemporary ear. Simple yet powerful, the single is made up of Delilah’s flawless echoing vocals and a drum beat. As it ebbs and flows from delicately quiet sections with nothing but vocals to the striking build ups and climactic breakthroughs, it is pure brilliance and oozing with sex appeal. Definitely keep your eyes and ears open for what she will do next.
