In a move to show the public that she has truly ditched her past (and her husband for that matter), TV’s Cheryl Cole is no more. From the ashes of this brand rises the star of “Cheryl“. Brand politics aside, ‘Call My Name’ is a club-orientated pop single, placed as firmly into the middle of the road as a bollard. Also like a bollard, while this single provides some kind of function, it offers little in the way of aesthetic experience and fails to linger in the memory. A disappointing comeback, but hopefully if this single tanks then the comeback of Girls Aloud will be sooner.

the funny thing is that if you say “Cheryl call my name” it sounds like “Cheryl COLE my name”…!
