Former My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way is set to join up with Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley to play three shows in North America.

The 34-year old revealed the news on his Instagram account, saying: “My dude, Deryck Whibley, is playing some shows around town and I’m looking forward to joining him for a few songs!”

Way will join Whibley under the name Deryck Whibley And The Happiness Machines. The pair will play Sum 41 songs at all three gigs.

The first show will be at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana on 3rd July, before playing the Casbah in San Diego on the 5th and the Lyric Theatre in Los Angeles on the 7th.
