The former Black Keys frontman, Dan Auerbach has shared a new track – entitled ‘Outta My Mind’ – with his new band, The Arcs.

The new group sees Auerbach teaming up with Truth and Soul Records founder, Leon Michels, Black Keys’ touring bassist Richard Swift, Menahan Street Band member Homer Steinweiss, Amy Winehouse collaborator, Nick Movshon, guitarist Kenny Vaughan, and the members of all-female mariachi band called Mariachi Flor de Toloache.

A press release for the record reads: “The Arcs collaboratively wrote and recorded 13 tracks for ‘Yours, Dreamily’ with the musicians playing a large array of roles both vocally and instrumentally… the album was recorded in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal sessions across the country.

The Yours, Dreamily tracklist is as follows:

  1. ‘Once We Begin (Intro)’
  2. ‘Outta My Mind’
  3. ‘Put A Flower In Your Pocket’
  4. ‘Pistol Made Of Bones’
  5. ‘Everything You Do (You Do For You)’
  6. ‘Stay In My Corner’
  7. ‘Cold Companion’
  8. The Arc’
  9. ‘Nature’s Child’
  10. ‘Velvet Ditch’
  11. ‘Chains Of Love’
  12. ‘Come & Go’
  13. ‘Rosie (Ooh La La)’
  14. ‘Searching The Blue’

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Auerbach described the full-length LP as “extra weird.” He said: “It was cut really quick in a week and a half, two weeks of recording.I just wanted to do my thing and get extra weird… I wanted everything to flow [and]be cohesive. A lot of the songs bleed one into the other, a lot like the Grateful Dead – my favourite records that they did. So I’ve got a lot of connected songs. It’s basically everything I love about music all wrapped up into one record – that’s all!”

Yours, Dreamily is set to be released on 4th September.  Listen to ‘Outta My Mind’ below:
