Ciara Renee and Arthur Darvill join CW’s Flash/Arrow spinoff

In news relating to the most crazy brilliant idea in recent TV, two new actors have reportedly joined the upcoming CW superhero team-up show, spinning-off from The Flash and Arrow.

Ciara Renee is joining the upcoming show as Kendra Saunders, better known as Hawkgirl. Saunders is a DC character who assumes the identity of Hawkgirl, sprouting wings out of her back, after she discovers that she has been reincarnated multiple times over the ages.

Meanwhile, Arthur Darvill will assume his first American role on screen as ‘the Traveller’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor will be Rip Hunter, a roguish time traveller originally created back in 1959 by the comics company.

The as-yet untitled show has already got quite the cast together: Brandon Routh, Wentworth Miller and Victor Garber all reprising their respective roles from Arrow or The Flash, while Arrow‘s Caity Lotz is billed to star in an as-yet unannounced part. Given her character on Arrow, Sara Lance, was murdered at the start of season three, it is likely not going to be her.

The show will be headed by Arrow/Flash creators Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. It is expected to join its CW DC sibling shows this coming season.
