With the help of Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Jessie J has secured her third UK number one with the track, ‘Bang Bang’. The song was released in the US weeks ago and reached third position, but has managed to debut at the top of the charts here in the UK. ‘Bang Bang’ is the lead single from Jessie J’s upcoming third album, Sweet Talker. This week’s new number one adds to Jessie J’s already accumulated chart-topping list which consists of both ‘Price Tag’ and ‘Domino’.

As a result, Sigma’s ‘Changing’, which features Paloma Faith, drops to second place, with Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ climbing two places to third position. Calvin Harris and John Newman are at four with ‘Blame’ with Lilly Wood and Robin Schulz’s ‘Prayer in C’ finishing this week’s top five. Sam Smith, George Ezra, Professor Green, Iggy Azalea and MAGIC! fill the rest of this week’s top ten.

The only other new entry in this week’s UK top 40 is Shift K3Y’s ‘I Know’ entering at 25. Duke Dumont’s ‘Won’t Look Back’ is this week’s biggest fall, stumbling 15 places down to 36th place.

In the album chart, alt-J’s second album, This Is All Yours, debuts at number one with Barbra Streisand’s Partners standing strong in second place. Sam Smith, George Ezra and Leonard Cohen finish this week’s top five. The rest of the top ten sees both Ed Sheeran and The Script fall to sixth and seventh place, respectively, with the last few places all being filled with new entries: Aphex Twin, Joe Bonamassa and Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga.

Other new entries include Professor Green and Erasure with the biggest fall awarded to Slash’s World on Fire, which drops 25 places.
