Bar 3 has seen a Hollywood-themed makeover in time for Freshers 2014, turning the space into an American diner.
The official unveiling takes place on Wednesday 24th September at 6pm. There will be music from local DJ duo Soul 45, The Monroes as well as free tasters. It’s guaranteed to be a great evening, full of dancing, music and even cocktail flaring!
The Soul 45 DJ’s take pride in only using Vinyl records, foregoing the use of prepared CDs, laptops or ipods. They’ll be playing a set filled with funk, soul, R&B and reggae all while using original 45 rpm Vinyl, a style that fits perfectly for this retro event. As well as playing the launch party, they’re also playing the fresher’s ball, where their “No fakin’ the funk” approach is sure to provide a refreshing set. You can have a listen to them here.
The Monroes are also appearing after a fantastic performance at this years SUSU Graduation ball. If their reception at that was anything to go by, their set tonight is guaranteed to be a success.
