Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has announced that there will be two additional stages at the 2014 festival.

Speaking to NME, Eavis said: “We’ve got a few new little venues and a couple of new stages that are still to be announced – I can’t tell you much about them. And Strummerville are coming up to The Park too.”

Alongside the additional stages, the late night entertainment on offer will also increase, with various new venues: “Arcadia has got a massive new space a bit nearer to The Park and it’s kind of like a whole town, really.

“The late night area will be really spread out; there’s so much late night entertainment everywhere now, not just in one area.”

Last week, the line-up was updated, with acts including Metronomy, Jack White, Warpaint, Skrillex, Lana Del Rey, Kasabian and Massive Attack joining the headliners Blondie, Dolly Parton and Arcade Fire, who had already been announced.

Speaking to BBC Radio 6, Eavis also recently announced that the secret Saturday headliner has been confirmed, but that the act cannot be revealed until May due to “contractual reasons”.

The festival sold out in less than two hours when tickets went on sale in October, but fans still have a chance to attend the event at Worthy Farm, with ticket resales opening on 24th and 27th April.
