Bestival returns to Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight to bookend the festival season with a weekend that promises a fusion of fancy dress, live music and quirky activities with the theme ‘Summer of Love.’ Brought to us by Josie and Rob Da Bank, Bestival is set to amaze crowds this summer.
Headliners of the festival this year are electronic duo The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and the band who brought us ‘Hungry like the Wolf’- Duran Duran. If a weekend that allows you to see The Chemical Brothers and Duran Duran in one place is not enough to sway you, the line-up’s incredible spectrum holds a lot more in store. The headliners will be joined by Radio 1’s Annie Mac, ‘Uptown Funk’ instigator Mark Ronson, Rae Morris (who features on The Edge’s List of 2015) and Jamie XX throughout the weekend. The line-up is additionally studded with some of this year’s Mercury Prize nominees; the iconic FKA Twigs, Jungle, and the poetic lyrics of Kate Tempest; and winners Young Fathers. Full line-up can be perused here.
The line-up for Bestival’s psychedelic Temple of Love will include Madlib, Shadow Child, Zinc, and Alex Adair- to name but a few.
In true Bestival style, it is not just about the music. Events that will be sprinkled throughout the weekend include rave knitting, musical bingo, euphoric fitness and films in the forest. You can even get a free hair cut with the festivals 24 hour free haircut station!
Bestival’s excitement will be hidden away in nine different pockets fit for festival-goers exploration, including Ambient Forest, Bollywood Field, Temple Island and Wishing Tree Field.
Bestival 2015 promises to be bigger, better and more full of love than ever before- whilst still retaining the boutique feel that it has despite its growing size. If rave knitting does not have you excited, who knows what will.
Weekend tickets cost £195**
