Preview: Truck Festival 2015 (17-18/07/2015)

Year after year, Truck remains a cult favourite for music fans. Now in it’s eighteenth year the line-up always impresses, having had acts like Biffy Clyro, Regina Spektor, Foals, Frank Turner and Tim Minchin grace their stages, as well as last years headliners The Cribs and White Lies.

Truck takes place at Hill Farm in Oxford, but unlike many other festivals that take place on farms, at Truck you really notice it; from the drive through rural Oxfordshire to get there, to the Barn Stage, which is exactly what it says on the tin, a barn converted into a stage, Truck stays true to it’s roots and hasn’t tried to stray away from what it is: a small, family friendly festival, and a bloody good one at that.

As always, there’s a fantastically varied lineup of both up and coming and established acts. Headliners Basement Jaxx and The Charlatans are sure to impress, with Darwin Deez, Rae Morris and Don Broco also appearing on the lineup. However, if you’re on the hunt for your next favourite band there’s also Slaves, Jaws, Honeyblood and Baby Godzilla, as well as a host of other incredible acts all set to perform throughout the weekend. For the full lineup check out the Truck website.

This year Truck has had several new additions to the stages and experience. For those who don’t want to camp but don’t live close enough to travel each day there’s a Glamping option; and for those who want to dance until the early morning there’s the Truck x Switch presents line-up featuring amazing DJs like Shy Fx and My Nu Leng playing the Barn Stage every evening from 11pm.

If you want something a bit smaller than Reading & Leeds, with a killer lineup and in an amazing location, then Truck is the festival for you.

Truck takes place on the 17 & 18 July 2015, at Hill Farm, Oxford. Tickets are available now from the official website.
