Sheffield-based metal rockers Bring Me The Horizon will be playing a one-off show at London’s Wembley SSE Arena after returning from a short, four-date tour of eastern-Asia.

The band have been very busy touring over the last couple of years, following on from the release of their fourth studio album, Sempiternal, in April of last year.  Despite not releasing too much information with regards to what they have been up to in between shows, the band have still revealed two new tracks in the last couple of months in the shape of the very popular ‘Drown’ and more recently, ‘Don’t Look Down’.

The Steel City metallers have received a few highly acclaimed awards over the past 18 months.  Most notably they won Best British Band at the Kerrang! Awards in 2013 and were named Best International Band as well as being awarded with the Best Album by the Alternative Press this year.

Since their formation back in 2004, the band have gone through many transformations in regards to both their sound and their line-up.  Four of the five-piece – Oliver Sykes, Lee Malia, Matt Nicholls and Matt Kean – still remain from the very beginning, but the fifth member has changed twice, with original member Curtis Ward departing in 2009 with fellow guitarist Jona Weinhofen replacing him, before Weinhofen leaving in 2013, a month after keyboard-player Jordan Fish was named as a full member of the band.  But it has been BMTH’s sound which has developed the most over the years.  Each album that has been released has been distinctively different to the previous album in one way or another.  For example, the fact that a keyboard player has effectively replaced a rhythm guitar just shows how different the band will sound now compared to their early recordings.

It will be interesting to see what the diehard fans thing of the bands latest change when they appear in London.

Bring Me The Horizon play London’s Wembley SSE Arena on 5th December 2014.  Tickets are sold out for this one-off show.  Support will come from Young Guns, Issues, and Sleepwave.
