It’s a big night for Bournemouth on Tuesday 25th November as rock giants Kasabian roll into town. The Leicester band are touring in support of their fifth album 48:13 and are taking London five piece The Maccabees along for the ride.

2014 has been a huge year for Kasabian who headlined a 60,000 capacity homecoming gig in Leicester to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their self-titled debut album.  The success of 48:13, which peaked at number one in the UK album charts, has seen the band continue to develop their increasingly psychedelic sound, which thrilled crowds at Glastonbury this summer.

Kasabian’s 12 date headline tour kicked off in Glasgow on the 19th November and will finish in Manchester on 12th December, stops along the way include Dublin and Brighton. Fans can expect a showcase of classics such as ‘club foot’ and ‘Fire,’ along with new anthems like ‘Bumblebeeee’ and ‘Treat.’

Earlier this week the band caused controversy in Glasgow after a particularly offensive phrase regarding London mistakenly appeared as the backdrop to new song ‘Clouds.’ Guitarist and chief song writer Sergio Pizzorno has since stated that ‘We were all shocked and certainly didn’t mean to offend anyone.’

Kasabian are a band known for going all out with their shows and often throw a few surprises into the mix, with their good friend Noel Fielding frequently making appearances during ‘Vlad the Impaler.’ The sold out show is set to light up Bournemouth for the night and the tour as a whole isn’t one to be missed.

48:13 is now available to buy as a deluxe edition including bonus tracks and a live DVD/CD from this Summer’s Leicester shows here.
