The first trailer for the upcoming family fantasy, Into The Woods, has been unveiled.
The film is to focus on a witch (Meryl Streep) who teaches important lessons to a variety of children’s characters, including Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy) and Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford).
The trailer gives very little away, but pulses with Tim Burton-esque visuals and promises to deliver on casting, with the likes of Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt and Chris Pine also starring.
The film is directed by Rob Marhshall, who has also brought us the likes of Chicago and Memoirs of a Geisha. Both the original play and screenplay is written by James Lapine.
The film is due to hit UK cinemas on 9th January 2015. Watch the trailer below.
