Nottingham quintet Amber Run are a young bunch of harmony geniuses with a solid mature sound of undeniable anthemic vitality. They played Reading & Leeds as their fourth and fifth ever gigs in 2013, released three EPs as of 2014, their new single ‘Just My Soul Responding’ coming out this month, they will be on their headline tour in February with two sold out legs at London and Manchester, and they are planning to drop their debut album this year. Amber Run are set to take 2015 by storm.

The widely acclaimed ‘I Found’ showcased the foundation of their well-controlled alternative sound. An acoustic version of the track released by The Mahogany Sessions showcased their full potential. Full band harmonies may not be the focus of many bands, but Amber Run know its significance and power, combined with prominent drums that are especially persistent in ‘Just My Soul Responding’, they create songs that generate immense energy guaranteed to fill venues of any size.

Receiving support from XFM and Communion Music, and having their upcoming debut album produced by Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club) which they finished recording last May as they told us in an interview, Amber Run are progressing steadily and consistently, with their diverse materials while approaching a wider audience.

Describing themselves as “not a finished article yet”, front man Joe Keogh said “there’s so many years and so many place that we could go and being given the opportunists to go to these places.” This year might as well be the year they start to venture into uncharted music territories.

Tickets to Amber Run’s headline tour in February are on sale now.
